Dr. Hansen was born and raised in Provo, Utah. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Brigham Young University in 2008, and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Kentucky in 2012. After graduation, Dr. Hansen commissioned as a Captain in the US Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas where he completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program, and received his Master’s Degree in Oral Biology in 2015. This program expanded the scope of clinical skills that Dr. Hansen utilizes in the treatment of his patients, often involving a complex multidisciplinary approach to achieve the best outcome for each patient. Following 10 years of active service in the Army, Dr. Hansen and his wife made the decision to put down roots in Sierra Vista, and his family couldn’t be happier!

Dr. Hansen is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Association, The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Hansen and his wife Kristen have five children; Jerry, Ruby, Fred, Henry, and June. In his free time, Dr. Hansen enjoys spending time with his family, watching Dodger baseball, playing catch, and swimming with his kids.
